Doug Talbott

Director, eLearning Content Development

Mr. Talbott is the Director of Content Development at XIA Systems and an eLearning Advisor at Online-Learning.com. With over 25 years of experience in user interface design, instructional design, graphic design and design management, Mr. Talbott has a wide range of content development experience with notable companies such as Nortel Networks, Honeywell and IBM. He has written, designed and taught courses for all of these companies and Carleton University in the areas of human factors design, visual design and computer science.

Prior to joining XIA, Mr. Talbott was a senior manager in Nortel's Design Interpretive Group where he supervised the development of a wide range of design projects including the design of the company's technical documentation suite, the user interface design of multiple applications in the Preside Network Management product line, the M3000 Touchphone user interface, and the TOPS/MP Operator Workstation user interface. He holds a number of user interface and visual design patents in these areas and has been the recipient of numerous design awards from the Canadian Graphic Designers Guild, the Society of Technical Communicators and the New York Advertising Association.
