This project was a "reach" project that explored totally revolutionary user interface design techniques. The most novel concept was called "volumetric projection" which involved projecting images into mid-air. This video simulation was used to explain the concept. The demonstration was extremely popular with visitors and became known as the "smoke and mirrors" demonstration. A patent was filed protecting the intellectual property contained in the demonstration.
